The kits are pricey but will save you the trouble of having to travel to the local craft store to purchase beads, wires, hooks, tools, etc. Most of the companies that offer this type of work-at-home business contract with you to purchase the completed jewelry back at a price that will assure you a small profit on each piece, usually about 60 cents or 1 dollar.
There are a couple of holes in the plan, first you have to have some talent for this type of work or you'll spend hours working on one piece for a measly dollar. The other catch is that the company must approve the piece before they will pay, and as you can imagine the approval process is very strict. If you do have skill and can assemble jewelry, consider going into business for yourself before making someone each rich on your talent.
