"how To Create A Million Dollar Nursery On A Non-million Dollar Budget"

Do you feel like all the magazine pictures you find show nurseries of movie stars and apparent millionaires? Do you ever find yourself wondering how you might afford the adorable room you know your little one deserves? There are affordable options when it comes to baby nursery decoration, and it can still look cute!

As you know, babies grow super fast (ever hear people say "Oh my gosh, your baby is getting so big!"). As a result, they are going to outgrow stuff pretty quick. So, don't feel the pressure to spend 6 months worth of pay for your nursery decor. Think hand-me-downs. Friends, neighbors or relatives with children a few months older than yours are perfect candidates to ask for gently used baby nursery decorations. They can still have great and modern designs and chances are parents are looking for something to do with the stuff they don't use anymore. You might also ask to borrow an item, such as a crib, from a parent who has a child a few years older. They will certainly be grateful for a place to keep it for a few years, or until they have need of it again, without getting permanently rid of it.

Buying baby nursery decorations used is another option for specific items you cannot obtain from borrowing or if you have no one to borrow from. Check your local craigslist, newspaper etc for weekly garage sales or even flea markets. Excellent quality at an affordable price is possible to find at these locations, especially when negotiations are acceptable. Besides, since babies grow so quickly, most items will get little use, so they will be like new anyway. Consider the items you will want for your own convenience in the nursery: a set of dresser drawers, a swing chair or rocking chair. You can always repaint a product to match your space, granted that the piece is stable and will last.

While cost is important to consider with baby nursery decoration purchases, the highest priority should always be safety. The pieces that must be researched and compared are cribs, strollers, high chairs and car seats. It should not matter whether you are borrowing, buying used, or buying new. Current safety regulations are absolutely essential to know about each of these products you get. If you think you are making steal at a garage sale, consider again if you do not know the safety standards it reaches. Buying older items might be out of date an no longer meet safety regulations. And, no matter how good a deal, safety is still the number one concern.
