"packing Tips For Moving"

We collect a lot of junk over our lifetime, so when moving time is the ideal time to get rid of it all. First decide what you don't need any more and then have a garage sale or sell it through eBay or a similar website. If you need to store some of your furniture this can be packed and taken away first. But when packing, remember to use lots of bubble wrap and padding to prevent scratches and bruising on timber.

Starting early and being organised will help you de-stress your moving time. Make sure you have plenty of boxes, tape and scissors, and labels for instructions to the removalists. You will want to label those boxes containing china ' fragile' and 'this side up'. Other boxes can be labelled for the room their contents are from.

As each box is packed, you should make a list of its contents in a book and then number the box. An inventory like this will be of help to the insurance company should any box go missing.

Linen and blankets can be used as padding for breakables, but be sure you remember what is wrapped in it - those who are unpacking need to know too, otherwise your best china could crash to the floor when a blanket is unpacked.
