“right Here Right Now” Creates Power And Energy

I saw an article recently, which said that most people who exercise regularly and consistently were those people who didn’t plan specifically when they would work out, but more fitted it into their busy lifestyle on a consistent basis.

Now, to a recovering planaholic like me, that could send shivers down my spine...but now that I’m allowing more spontaneity and flexibility into my life(!), I can see why this mindset is so successful.

The more we plan things out, the more we over-think and over-analyze things, the more paralyzed we actually get. These people are fitter and healthier – definitely in body, but probably in mind, too – simply because they just get on and do, rather than sit down and plan.

Now I’m not saying ditch all your plans – that would be foolish. But what I am saying – as much to myself as you guys, is – lighten up a little! Think about how many missed goals and achievements we experience, simply because we wait for the “right time” to get things started. That process means that we just keep waiting...and waiting...and waiting...

Honestly – is there EVER a “right” time to pursue your goals? Is two weeks from now; a month from now; tomorrow ever going to be any better than right here, right now?

Life is filled with any number of things that will occupy our limited time if we don’t take the initiative and fill it with the things we want in our lives.

Remember – you don’t have to get it right; you just have to get it going!

So what can you do, right here, right now?

Your Fired Up Action:

What’s something you’ve been putting off until the “right” time? Is it something that you want, deep down?
Identify one thing you could do today, that will start the ball rolling. A phone call, an email, an action that will start to move you forward rather than standing still
And in the words of Nike – Just Do It!
Notice how it feels now that you’ve taken some action – and take some more!

Many people love the idea of having a personal coach – someone who can encourage them; challenge them; develop their thinking and support them on their journey to success. However, because of the perceived time and money investment, many people don’t move from the idea of having a coach into actually hiring one.
