000-087: Ibm System X Technical Expert V6 Certification Examination

Exam 000-087 is IBM’s hottest certification examination and the name of the exam is IBM system x technical expert V6. This certification validates the candidate’s knowledge in understanding the system x product and experience in handling complex situations, changes in buying behavior, and solutions. From exam 000-087, candidates will gain knowledge planning, configuring, implementing, and supporting the system x product. Some of the previous versions of system x technical expert 6 exams have been withdrawn shortly and 000-087 replaces all the withdrawn previous version certifications like Bladecenters and High performing servers.

Prerequisites:

As this certification validates planning, configuring, implementing, and supporting the system x product, candidates should have at least 18 months of working experience with the relevant field.

Certification Path:

Previously, candidates have to take up 2 exams for getting all credentials. They are: Exam 000-152: System x technical fundamentals V10 and exam 000-087: system x technical expert V6. Now, exam 000-152 is withdrawn and it is no more active. Hence, there is only one exam for this certification.

Exam Blueprint:

Though the target audience for this exam is 18 months experienced professionals, it is highly recommended to the candidates in knowing about the exam blueprint before applying for the exam. The following are the blueprint / topic outlines:

• Evaluating and establishing customer plans and environment
• Installing and post installing support
• Solution elements
• Applying information / migrating considerations

Examination comprises minimum of 40 questions (it may vary) and the time duration allotted for answering all these questions is 75 minutes. The minimum passing score of this exam will vary based upon the difficulty of the exam and also with the total number of questions asked. Registration can be done in prometric centers either through online or by visiting directly to the exam center.
