0x800c0133 Outlook Express Problem

Problem:
My group is having difficulty with my Outlook Express. I cannot receive any sort of emails, and my mailbox folder appears to be empty even though I know there are messages within it. I'm receiving the following error:

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'mail.cox.net', Server:

'mail.cox.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:

0x800C0133Solution: This problem is caused by a corrupt or damaged inbox. Outlook express saves all of your emails in one file, and frequently the file will turn out to be corrupt when too many emails are stored.

To be able to remedy this issue, you will have to make the files which store your email smaller. You will find a few ways to do this, and also the simplest method is underneath:

Compress your mail messages utilizing outlook

Step 1. Start Outlook Express

Step 2. At the leading of the Outlook Express Window, click View -> Layout -> Folder List and choose Outlook Express.

Step three. Again at the leading, click File -> Work Offline. This will stop messages from coming in while we work.

Step 4. Next, click File -> Folder -> Compact All Folders.

This will begin a data compresion procedure within Outlook Express. You'll see a few various boxes appearing, this is often regular.

If the error message appears indicating a file is in use, merely simply click “Okay” and allow the software continue to work. In the event the compacting procedure stops due to this error message, close Outlook Express, wait ten seconds, then reopen this program and run Step four once more.

If this doesn't fix your issue you must manually reduce in size the .dbx files. This is an advanced process and can cause data loss if not done correctly, therefor directions are not supplied.
