10 Things To Look For When Choosing A Hen Party Venue

If you've been tasked with arranging the hen night, then you might already have some ideas planned. If you're not sure, what you need to be aware of, or what's essential, then here's what you need to think about.

1. Remember that it’s not your night, it's the bride's night, and so you'll need to consider what the bride likes. Just because it's not something you would choose doesn’t mean it's wrong, that she won't like it, or it's not suitable for a hen party.

2. You'll need to think about the number of guests, so that you know how many will be in your party. It'll make choosing venues and arranging transport much easier.

3. The location of your venue might be important too. If her bridesmaids are travelling from all over the country, then would a central location be better, or has she already got somewhere and something in mind?

4. The date might be important, as you'll have to make sure that everyone can attend. You might also need to ensure that the hen party venue is available when you want it too. Otherwise you'll have to be more flexible on the date or venue.

5. You'll need to remember to arrange some food. Perhaps you'll want a full sit down meal, or maybe a finger buffet will go down better.

6. Don't forget to arrange entertainment too. Perhaps you'll have a theme such as fancy dress, or the 70s, or maybe you'll want to have a magician or dancers to entertain you, or even a cocktail masterclass.

7. If you're having the hen party in a different town or city, then you'll want to make sure that you book your accommodation in plenty of time, so that you're not having to look for somewhere to stay when you arrive. Also, if you book in advance, you'll have your pick of hotels so you'll be where you want to be too.

8. As well as your hotel, ensuring that you book your transport to and from your hen party venue in advance will mean that you're not looking for taxis when everyone else is.

9. Even though it's one of the most important days of a girl's life, you'll still want to make sure that you're getting value for money, and not paying for things you don’t need. You'll also need to make sure that you're not penny pinching for the sake of it too.

10. Above all, make sure that you all remember that it's the bride's night, and do what she wants to do! When it's your turn to get married you can decide.

Now you know what to look for, and what’s important, you'll be able to choose the perfect hen party venue.
