Research doesn’t have to be a dreadful chore. Here is a list of research avenues. Look through it and jot down any opportunities and possibilities that come to mind. 1. Check out websites of people/companies involved in what you want to do. 2. Go to the bookstore or library to look through industry magazines. 3. Join a group of like-minded people in your community. 4. Befriend someone who is already doing what you want to do. 5. Work part-time at the entry-level stage of what it is you want to do. 6. Work as a Volunteer in the industry you aspire to. 7. Research keywords on the Internet through search engines like Google or Yahoo to see what interest is already out there. 8. Join a social networking site like Facebook or LinkedIn. 9. Join an online group in your social network that shares your interest. 10. Read relevant blogs and/or start your own.
