10 Tips For Easy Dieting

I have to tell you that I don't enjoy dieting. But, I also don't enjoy carrying around extra weight. Not to mention how good it feels to be in shape and healthy. So, I am always looking for ways to cut calories and fat but still be able to enjoy eating pretty much what I want. With a combination of watching what I put in my mouth and playing hard to get the exercise I need, I manage to stay ahead of the game.

There are many ways to lower your calorie and fat intake without it becoming one of those distasteful things that you feel you have to live with in order to have the body you want. We all know the majority of foods to stay away from, or limit our intake of, so that we don't add empty calories or bad fat to our diet. With a little planning and good ideas about healthy eating it's not that difficult to stay on track. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has many suggestions on simple things that you can do to take steps toward a healthier, slimmer body. Listed below are just a few of them.

· Use fat free milk over whole milk · Drink water before a meal. · Try your burger with just lettuce, tomato, and onion. · Snack on fruits and vegetables. · Ask for salad dressing "on the side". · The smaller your plate, the smaller your portion. · Try eating at least 2 vegetables with dinner. · Grill, steam or bake instead of frying. · Choose fruit for dessert. · Eat before you get too hungry.

With these tips in mind, eating a healthy diet, avoiding harmful substances, and integrating small steps into your life - you will soon see the positive effects taking place - one day at a time.
