10 Ways To Pump Up Your Facebook Account

1. Make sure your profile picture is a clear friendly-looking, head and shoulders photograph of yourself. Do NOT put up a picture of your product! Internet Marketing is all to do with ATTRACTION Marketing and no-one will be attracted to a picture of a bottle of energy drink. Never promote your product at the front end. You should be promoting YOURSELF!

2. Make sure you fill in your profile details fully. Someone who likes the look of you and wants to get to know you, may lose interest immediately if you have nothing in your profile. What you have been doing is very important, what took you to where you are now, and any hardships you have experienced on the way. Interests and hobbies are helpful so anyone reading them can find a kind of connection with themselves.

3. Post regular updates. If you have nothing interesting to say, lots of people love to see an inspirational quote. Tell people what you are doing; if you have just finished an article and posted it on your blog, tell everyone. Direct them to your blog to read it! The occasional joke is always appreciated. If you have just finished some training, tell everyone about it.

4. Add friends! Not too many at a time or Facebook will shut down your account, but 20 - 30 a day is absolutely fine. Find people you want to follow by going to some of the motivational groups and fan pages and add friends from the group. It is preferable to write a simple explanation with your invitation of how you found them, as some people wont be prepared to become your friend, particularly if their Facebook page is protected.

5. Join groups that you find interesting. There are many different kinds of groups but if you are in Network Marketing join any that appeal to you. Personal development groups are excellent places to find business people. And of course you can always join a group which goes by its product name, such as Avon or Monavie.

6. Put comments on groups walls as well as other peoples walls. Join in discussions in a group, or begin your own topic of discussion. Again, do not advertise your business all over these walls. Anyone who reads these posts will be put off straight away because so many people do precisely that. You are marketing YOURSELF.

7. Interact with people. People will ask you questions or connect with you in some way. Give them a reply; engage with them. They may need help and you may be able to help them. Once they trust you, your business might come into the conversation spontaneously or they may look further into your profile and see your links. Check on the right hand side of your home page to see when people are having a birthday and you can send them birthday wishes on their wall.

8. Once you have a decent number of friends, you can start up your own Facebook Group. It may be Personal Development or you could offer help or mentoring. Send an invitation to your friends, no more than 50 a day, inviting them to join your group. Once they accept you can have discussions with them on your page, invite them to conference calls or webinars or just mail them interesting or inspirational information. Whatever you think may be of help to them.

9. Once you have set up your Page, do not just leave it with 20 people in it. Just like anything, it does need some upkeep. Keep on inviting people, sending out messages to people and putting new topics on the wall and generally giving extra value. This will help people who join to see you as a leader and not just another marketer.

10. Always give value. Come from contribution. If you help someone to reach their goals, you will achieve yours. Be positive always; dont post anything if you cannot post something worthwhile! And dont critisise other people. Encourage, help and support instead. Remember, people buy people FIRST.
