10 Ways To Quickly And Easily Research Your Next Niche Topic

When it comes to creating a niche ebook, report or membership site, you really need to know your stuff.

If you present a shoddy product to your audience your credibility will plummet and you’ll lose out on backend sales and future product sales.

Clearly, it’s important to research your niche well and know what you are talking about. However, there are several short cuts you can take in order to make product development quick and easy.

1.PLR content

PLR can give you a leg up on the research process. Even if you don’t end up rewriting the PLR content to form your product, you can use it to streamline your research process.

Look for a large collection of PLR on the same topic.

2.Niche FAQ pages

By typing in your keywords plus “FAQ” you can normally pull up an extensive list of resources that will give you a snapshot of what typical topics you need to cover in your product.

Read several niche FAQ pages so you can get a sense of what your market is learning and what they need to know.

3.Slideshare.net

Chances are if a topic is popular, someone somewhere has created a slideshow about it and uploaded it to SlideShare.net.

You can use their slideshow to quickly get an education on the topic and spark product ideas.

4.Yahoo Answers

Have a specific question about a topic and don’t have time to research it? Visit Yahoo Answers and ask away. You may get some uneducated answers from visitors, but chances are you’ll get insight into the topic from at least a few experienced people.

5.YouTube

Viewing an instructional video on YouTube on the topic at hand will give you a snapshot understanding of your topic.

If you need to learn a lot about the topic in a short period of time, you can gather information more quickly in video form than you can by tracking down text results.

6.EHow.com

EHow.com is a general information site that can help you develop an outline for your product and give you a structure to follow.

Each article is a set of detailed instructions on how to accomplish something so if you have a how to product you can use it as a jumping off point for your own outline.

7.MTurk.com

Hiring out research is a good way to save time. The workers at MTurk.com are paid based on the tasks that you request. You can request to receive a list of the top 20 sites in a particular topic or have the worker copy/paste research from a variety of sources.

8.Niche forums

Niche forums take some time to wade through but they are reliable for finding information directly from your niche.

9.HowStuffWorks.com

Initially started as a resource for technical topics, HowStuffWorks.com also covers consumer products, ideas and tasks that people need to complete. It’s more detailed than EHow.com so you can get a really good idea of what your product needs to cover.
