Markha Valley trek: One of the most favorite treks passes small villages, shepherds camps and passes are main feature of this trek. It begins from Spituk monastery or Stok village passing through Stok La and Gandala Pass, takes you across Markha valley.
Henasuka to Wala: It starts from Henaskut around 160 Kms. from Leh near Leh-Srinagar highway in Kargil district. There are many passes like Yogmala (4900 meters.), Niyigutse La (5,100 mtrs.) and Pirkiting La (3,700 mtrs.) and it finishes at Lamayuru.
Lamayuru to Padum: The most popular trek starts from famous monastery of Lamayuru and enters Zangskar through most isolated villages of Lingshet, Photoksar and then headquarter of Zangskar called Padum.
Tsomoriri to Kibber: This trek runs through beautiful Lake with exciting landscape.
You can visit Changpa nomads; another trek will take you Parang chu valley towering snow Peak Mountains. Walk on a glacier mountain to reach Parangla 5880m.
Hemis to Zangla: It starts from Hemis monastery, enters in famous Markha valley and Zangskar via Junglam, which is open only for a month. In summer this route is closed due to water crossing and in winter heavy snowfall.
Sham trek: This is the only trek can be done through out the year as there is not any high passes. Drive for one and half hour, visit Liker monastery and the trek begins. Explore other monasteries of Rezong , Temisgam and Lamayuru after finishing the trek.
Lamayuru to Darcha trek: This is the most popular trail into Zangskar via Shingo La. This trek starts from famous monastery of Lamayuru and enters Zangskar through most isolated villages of Lingshet, Photoksar.
Lamayuru to Hemis: It passes through Hemis national park to preserve snow leopard and other wild animals. Explore beautiful valley of Markha, which is overshadowed by many Peaks.
Hemis to Jugtakh: This trek begins from Hemis monastery, enters into Markha valley after crossing Kongmaru La 5135m. After exploring Rupsho Valley, visit a village and several passes before you finish your trek at Juktakh at Leh Manali highway.
