100 Reasons Why You May Have Been Pulled Over By Police
Has your teenager ever come home irritated that the police were picking on him? Has your spouse ever come home fuming that the Blue Meanies were closer to meeting their ticket quota? Have you ever wondered why the police would ever pull anyone over? A recent conversation with a friend had this retired police officer challenged to compile a list of some of the reasons that he or his partners had ever pulled over drivers who may have taken some of the rules of the road into their own hands. Here is a list of 100 reasons why you may have been pulled over by the police. 1. You were speeding 2. You did not stop at the stop sign (light) 3. You were not wearing your seat belt 4. Your passenger was not wearing a seat belt 5. Your seat belt is dragging on the ground 6. Your license plates are expired 7. Your license plate is covered 8. Your license plate is covered by a lens 9. The tailgate on your truck is unfastened 10. You backed your car up with undue care 11. Your insurance sticker is expired 12. Your children are not in a car seat 13. Your loving child gave me "the finger" 14. You were using your phone without a headset 15. You were texting 16. You crossed the center line 17. You were driving on a sidewalk 18. You were driving in a prohibited lane (bus or commuter lane) 19. You were weaving in your lane 20. You only have 1 license plate on your car 21. Display more than 1 license plate on your vehicle 22. Your windows are tinted too dark 23. Your muffler is too loud 24. Your stereo is too loud 25. You were driving with headphones in both ears 26.
