It seems that everyone is still looking for the big red button or the next magic "101 marketing strategies" but in my opinion article marketing is far and away the best free way to increase traffic to your website from a variety of sources. While the article should have value in itself for the person reading it, there should also be one or more back links to where they will find more information. The best place to submit articles is sites where you know they have a great deal of traffic every day; seeing an increase in your website traffic should happen in a very short space of time. Acceptance of content at sites like this is a little like a ‘thumbs up' to you as well and can be of great benefit; trust is probably more important on the Internet because most people are faceless.
Article marketing carried out this way (i.e. more than once) will get people to look upon you as an author whose work they will seek out because the content is good. This is why it is so important to show people that you know what you are talking about so they trust the content you provide in the area you write about. Over time the number of links you receive from other high ranking or authority sites will increase your own ranking with Google; the benefit of this is there will be an increase in people that find you through the search engines. If there are many websites which link with your website then it increases your website ranking which in turn boost up your traffic gaining. more importantly, none of this traffic actually costs anything at all!
With article marketing, a number of links to other sites can be inserted into it and providing there aren't too many you will not be penalized. The purpose of good articles is for people to use them on their site, with each having the links to your site contained in them which all helps the ranking. Sometimes, however, search engines can take some time before they actually list your site; Google can actually take months on occasion. However if you are submitting articles that are relevant to your website, the process of listing your site is usually much quicker which increases traffic.
To increase your website ranking further, you need to be adding more content (preferably unique) to your website (or blog) all the time if you want your article marketing to work. Remember that visitors do not know that your website is trying to get them to buy something. There is no reason why you cannot be truthful about what you are doing once they reach your website provided they have useful information. Once you have them on your site you can show them the benefits of what you are promoting. This approach is often overlooked and as a consequence visitors do not always understand what is being done. It is this sort of method that stops people from cancelling their order a few days later.
It is this process of article marketing that ensures you will be in business for a long time; do not think for one minute that this is will be a success if it is only done the once! The aim is to have other website owners link their site to yours in addition to using your content as well; each time your article is duplicated on other sites it increases the number of people who can use it. Never underestimate how easy it is to increase your site traffic at no cost; all you have to do is ensure your content is ‘on topic' and unique to have constant visitors.
