1) Go on holiday with no luggage

Some people would think you’d be mad to try this, but it could technically work. Going with minimal stuff, or getting your supplies when you are abroad will help minimise your carbon footprint and maybe even save you money on handling fees.

2) Have a night at the opera

Not for everyone, but the opera is certainly a way to spend one classy evening.

3) Climb to the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge

Whilst Ayers Rock is one of the most iconic natural symbols of Australia, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is definitely one of the man made ones.

Another one to help conquer your fears – spending the night in a haunted house is a very brave thing to do. It may be even more fun with a group of friends, as you tell ghost stories into the night.

Just how is it done? Learning to throw a boomerang not only looks cool, it’s also really difficult.

6) Walk the Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is so large it can actually be seen from space. It stretches for thousands of miles through the country and was built from the 5th century BC. Walking around it is like taking a trip back in time.

7) Fly a kite

Experience the full power of the wind by flying a kite. Kites range from full professional display pieces, to far smaller pieces of fabric on a string.

8) Bury a time capsule

Leave something for future generations by burying pieces of your day for them to find in 10, 50, or maybe even 100 years time.

9) Give a homeless person your lunch

Do a good deed and give someone less well off than you your lunch. If you’re hungry, maybe buy them some food rather than give them money – at least you know it is going towards something that will help them.

10) Ride a giant rollercoaster

Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or not, riding a rollercoaster such as The Big One in Blackpool or one of the famous ones in Florida is an experience you’re unlikely to forget for a very long time.
