101 Things To Do... Part Three
No matter how expensive or good a quality umbrella you decide to buy, there is something about them that always seems to break. Especially in a strong wind, they never seem to quite stay together how you would like. Wouldn’t it be great to be the first to find a way around the problem? 2) Plant a tree People like nature for many reasons, but most importantly it helps to create the oxygen we need to live. Planting a tree can give you something nice to look at, look after, as well as help the environment. 3) Write a fan letter Do you have a celebrity that you admire, fancy or aspire to be like? Writing a fan letter to them will probably be more appreciated than you may think, and you never know, you may even get a reply. 4) Sleep under the stars Spending a night under the stars, especially with someone you care about, is a great way to look out into the rest of existence. Seeing all the stars up above, especially in a rural area, will make you realise how we are on a planet floating through space. 5) Make a donation to a cause you care about Whether you want to just give a lump sum of cash to a good cause, or want to raise money by doing a run or holding an event, making a donation to something you care about will really help you change the lives of people for the better. 6) Celebrate your 101st birthday Reaching the magical 100th birthday is a massive achievement that is noted by receiving a personalised letter from Her Majesty the Queen. Topping that and getting to 101 years old really will show that you have lived a long, healthy life. 7) Drive Route 66 Taking a road-trip on the 2,451 mile route between Los Angeles, California and Chicago, Illinois is a dream for many people. The historic road is a great way of discovering large parts of the USA, including the southern states of Oklahoma and Texas. 8) Go on a bicycle tour A fantastic way to travel whilst staying close to nature, a bicycle tour is free, great for discovering an area or even entire country, as well as it being far more environmentally friendly. 9) Learn to dance This may not be a great thought for some, but almost everyone respects those that have a natural ability to dance. Get dance lessons and you’ll be able to use your new skills whenever they are called for. 10) To ‘live’ Most importantly, actually ‘living’ has to be on the list. Of course this is completely up to someone’s own interpretations – some are more demanding than others for what they want from life. But this is maybe what makes this point the best of them all.
