11 Habits Every Leader Does Regularly
2.A leader goes forth before victory is assured. If others are not uneasy, afraid, incredulous, pessimistic, or negative about where you are headed, then it's doubtless been accomplished before and is not a very big deal. Leaders embark on journeys that have not been attempted. 3.A leader talks about his own mistakes before speaking about anyone else's. Leaders do not have perfection, and are willing to acknowledge what they need to improve on. They are their own worst enemy, and know that the log in their own eye is often larger than the splinter in anothers. 4.A leader makes others change for the better. Positivity, motivation, uplifting, support, help & teaching, accountability, example. We all need these items. 5.A leader is quick to upliftand encourage the tiniest amount of progress. Every leader knows that they got to their situation by little, lone strides in that direction, not gigantic jumps forward. Leaders celebrate small victories, uplifting their followers. 6.A leader is genuinely interested in his/her fellow man. People are selfish at their core, and leaders know that others want and need to be listened to and paid attention to. 7.A leader takes others along with him/her. A smart leader surrounds themselves with others that are more gifted and more talented than they are. 8.A leader never allows gossiping—from himself or others. Leaders never allow gossip or negative talk to creep into their business. 9.A leader does what is right rather than what is well-liked. The masses are usually looking for what is all the rage, that is why they seldom become impressive. My favorite quote is - “Two roads diverged into the wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference.” (Frost) Doing what is right will ensure that integrity and honesty is the foundation of a leaders value system. 10. A leader is a giver. A leader is the first one to do what nobody else wants to. You don't need to look any further than when the Son of God washed his disciples feet. 11. A leader goes the extra mile. A leader does far more than what is expected of them. Up early, up late, drive anywhere, fly anywhere, not only willing to do the labor necessary to reach accomplishment, but willing to work harder than anyone else to get there.
