2010 Camaro Exhaust Systems
Let’s talk about the benefits of a 2010 Camaro performance exhaust system versus sticking to the stock exhaust. Most Camaro Exhaust systems will improve all aspects of your performance. Depending on the brand it may be stronger in any one field versus another. For the most part 1-3 mpg extra can be expected as long as you are driving conservatively. Also expect gains in the horse power and the torque department with averages of 15-20 hp and 24 ft/lbs of torque. Extra horses and extra torque equate into more get up and go. Who doesn’t want that? Imagine pulling up to the same Camaro package and a red light and pushing her to the limit. With a new Camaro performance exhaust the others would only be seen in the rear view mirror. There goes the gas mileage. The exhaust systems that are on the market now are built to last and come with a lifetime warranty. They are built of either T-304 or T-409 stainless steel depending on the model and brand. Either way they won’t rust and will outlive the life of the vehicle. Also most of them will add the little extra shine to the already beautiful car. T-304 surgical stainless steel is an austenitic steel containing 18-20% chromium and 8-10% nickel and T-409 is a titanium stabilized ferritic stainless steel. Both are strong alloys but have different properties. The T-304 systems look better, but they both perform the same. There are a couple different options available to customize each individual exhaust system, rectangular or round tips. Both look great but it really is up to any particular individual’s preference. The exhaust casing on the back bumper is rectangular so one would think that the only fit would be for rectangle tips but the round ones look just as good if not better. Although the rectangular tips do fill in the space and gives it more of a factory looking fit. It just makes it look like it all goes together that way. If you’re fairly mechanically inclined installing is easy and can be done in your own garage with a few minor tools. We always prefer to have a lift for the car, because it makes the install much easier. Simply remove the stock pipes and install the new pipes. It doesn’t get much easier than that unless you pay for someone else to do it. So, for probably the majority of people, they’ll want to take their newly purchased exhaust to a shop to have them install it for them, or even they chevy dealership. So whether you want power, looks, sound or even a combination of any of those three it can be found in an upgraded 2010 Camaro Performance Exhaust System.
