2010 Olympic Games | Winter Olympic Games | Olympic Games
In alpine skiing, the 2010 Olympic Games US Team is led by the super-talented Lindsey Vonn. Although Vonn is nursing an injury to her shin, she is expected to compete for the 2010 Olympic Games Gold Medal in several events. The events she is most likely to medal in are the Women's Downhill, the Super G, the Slalom, and the Super G combined. With 31 World Cup wins in four disciplines (downhill, Super G, slalom and super combined) and two World Championship gold medals (plus two World Championship silver medals), she has become the most successful American woman skier in World Cup history. If her leg heals according to plan, expect Lindsey to walk away from Vancouver with 3-4 Gold Medals. In snowboarding, the 2010 Olympic Games US Team is led by Gold Medal favorite Shaun White. White took the world by storm in when he won his first Gold Medal in the Men's Half Pipe event in the 2006 Winter Olympics. White is favored to win Gold in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in several events, including the Men's Half Pipe once again. In the 2010 Olympic Games, White is expected to showcase many brand new tricks that none of us have seen before. I can't wait to see him do it again! When it comes to speed skating, the 2010 Olympic Games US Team will be led by none other than Apolo Ohno. Ohno is a short track speed skater from Washington. In the 2008 Winter Olympic Games, Ohno won 5 individual medals in short track speed skating. In the 2010 Winter Olympic Games Ohno should challenge for Gold once again. As a seasoned veteran now, Ohno is bigger, faster, and stronger despite his small frame. With no mistakes, I predict he will win 4 Gold Medals. The 2010 Olympic Games are going to be exciting. Whether you like the Winter Olympic Games or the Summer Olympic Games, the 2010 Olympic Games are going to shower us with memories for years to come.
