2011: A Year Of 3d Movies

The success of Avatar in 3d created such hype that since then the production of movies in 3d have increased around two folds! In 2010 there released around twenty five movies in 3d while in 2010 following the unprecedented success of Avatar, the count had gone upto forty seven movies! And we suspect that this year it should be even more! Below we have prepared a list of the new 3d movies that are slated to be released this year and wish you should not like to miss:

• The Green Hornet – An entertaining mixture of action (the hornet being the legendary crimefighter) and comedy.

• Sanctum - an underground action thriller.

• Gnomeo and Juliet - the Shakespearean story set in a world of gnomes!

• Justin Bieber: Never Say Never – a concert film in 3d, a kind of a musical biography.

• Drive Angry – An action thriller.

• Yu-Gi-Oh! 3d: Bond Beyond Time – This film is about a card game and is recommended only for the fans who have already watched and liked the previous ones of the series.

• Carmen – A fiery and exciting opera with elaborate cast that includes dancers, plenty of children and even a few live animals like chickens, a horse and a donkey!

• Mars Needs Moms – a science fiction based on the picture book of the same name. It’s basically a children’s movie but the adults can also enjoy the breath taking visuals.

• Lord of the Dance 3d – a story based on Irish Folklore.

• Born to be Wild 3d – A story about the bond between humans and animals.

• Rio – A comedy-adventure set in the rainforests of Brazil.

• Thor – A story about a Norse God, who is cast on Earth (because of his recklessness) to live with humans.

• Priest – A horror movie about vampires.

• Kung Fu Panda 2 – It’s a sequel about the endearing Panda who is living his dream.

The above list is just a tentative one till May 2011. Plenty more new 3d movies are to come. Be sure to catch them if you are looking forward to a thrilling and sensational visual experience every time you go to the theatre.
