The reason why you should incorporate PPC into your affiliate marketing program is that earnings are easier to make than in any other kind of affiliate program not using PPC.
Secret Tip on PPC: Don't add 10,000 keywords in one campaign and try to get clicks for 5 cents. You will not... Gone are the days when you could do that (in fact I was never able to do that, and I m doing it for 3 yrs)...
