3 Good Reasons To Rent A Car In Frankfurt

Not sure if you should rent a car in Frankfurt? Here are three good reasons to drive your way around the city instead of relying on transport services to take you from one point to the next.

1. It Saves You Time - Frankfurt is one of Europe's primary traffic hubs. It's home to the largest airport in continental Europe and the most crowded train station in Germany. Every day, at least 310,000 vehicles pass through its autobahn intersections. Around 350,000 travelers frequent the major train stations. Given these figures, how long do you suppose it would take you to hail a cab? How much of your precious travel time would have to be spent waiting in line, in train stations?

If you rent a car in Frankfurt, you won't have to spend most of your commute time waiting. You can zip straight to the Alt Stadt or Bahnhofsviertel quickly--as soon as you land in the city, in fact! All you need is a map.

2. You Can Get Your Fill of Frankfurt's Historic Destinations - If you rely on trains and cabs, you will have to stick to destinations where it's easy to find trains and cabs. This won't be a problem with a rental, though. You can visit as many old villages as you want and head back to the metropolis whenever you want to. You can go to all of the late-night haunts, and not worry about how you will get home.

Be sure to check out the English Theatre in Bahnhofsviertel; the Goethe Museum and the Paulskirche in Alt Stadt; and the cabaret and comedy in Hchst. Don't forget to stop by the Sachsenhausen, too. This area is famous for the old-world charm of its half-timber houses and its cider, called ApfelWein.

3. Frankfurt's Roads Are Made for Driving - Local or not, you will find it a breeze to cruise through the city's many expressways. The city has an excellent road system that makes navigation a breeze. There's an added bonus to driving in Germany, too: there is no speed limit on autobahns. If you drive responsibly, you will enjoy driving around the autobahn without speed restrictions!

Of course, you shouldn't rent a car in Frankfurt without first making sure you're getting the best price. Look for a broker online who can give you the best rates and the best terms. Good luck!
