Well frankly, if you're simply looking for a virtual soapbox to air your personal opinions or share photos from your last summer vacation, free blogging and social networking sites are perfectly fine. If on the other hand, your serious about building a robust email subscriber list and earning money online, your going to want your own hosting account that at the very least provides you with an affordable means of: 1. Registering multiple domain names, 2. Linking them to multiple websites, and 3. Automatically installing and updating popular blogging software like "Word Press" with a few well placed mouse-clicks. An auto responder is a program that automatically replies to e-mails with a predefined set of messages, at specific intervals, giving you the ability to apply a very important principle known as LEVERAGE. Leverage is the ability to utilize limited resources (such as your time) in ways that maximize your desired results. In my opinion, you will find it virtually impossible to succeed at building a significant email subscriber list and earning money from home on the Internet without leveraging your time through the use of an auto responder.
