What this means for you is that your discipline and rules need to be set within a state of neutraility rather than anger. Don't nit pick the rules, pick the important ones to stick by. Anger is not the way to introduce rules. It can be hard to maintain the position of loving your child and protecting them too. You'll quickly find that this is not as easy as it looks.

Parenting a teen age child isn't easy by any means but communication can help make it easy. Sometimes it takes patience and a willingness to look at things from the teenager's point of view, even if you don't agree. As you interact with your teen you need to keep this information in mind.
