3 Things Guys Can’t Stand – Here Are The Biggest Turn Offs For Men!

Do you worry that you turn off men without even knowing it? Do you know what not to talk about on the first few dates? Are you tired of wondering if you’re saying the wrong thing? Every guy has different turn-offs, but you can avoid most major dating faux pas by keeping three areas of conversation off the dinner table.

Your ex-boyfriends.

This is a universal no-no. Don’t bring up your exes for any reason, except if you have to explain why his name is tattooed on an exposed body part (in which case you should probably try to keep it covered for at least the first couple of dates). He won’t want to hear about what caused the relationship to go under, no matter whose fault it was or how interesting the outcome. Nor will he want to hear about the good times you had with any of his predecessors. Find something else to talk about.

Your desire to get married and have children.

This is a fast-track to spooking your new guy. He’ll wonder if you’re resorting to dating him because you’re concerned about your biological clock or because he has a stable job. He’ll feel that his way of life is being threatened, and he’ll contract an immediate desire to bolt. An additional bonus of leaving this subject out of the conversation is that you won’t be as likely to analyze the situation to within an inch of its life. You can put your long-term goals to the side temporarily and focus on having fun, which is what dating is supposed to be about.

Money talk.

This is a major turn off for all men, whether they make a ton of money or virtually none at all. Those who fall on the lower end of the scale will feel inadequate and wonder if they can make you happy. Men who are financially well-off will feel threatened. Most wealthy, available men are wary of women who might lure them into a relationship then divorce them, taking half the booty with them.

These are the top three things you should NEVER bring up on a date. Instead, wait until you know that the relationship is destined for something more than a few nights out together before you bring up these nasty but unavoidable topics. Don’t bother to turn off a guy who you like but doesn’t have boyfriend potential. After all, why waste a fun date on serious conversation?
