3 Top Tips For Increasing Your Conversion Rates
This is the most important tip. You must pinpoint who will be interested in your product and direct your advertising to that group. Find out what piqued their curiosity, what they like to do and what their interests are. Also try to determine at what price range they will be ready to buy. Remember that you are selling information that people want or need. Keep in mind that it is not about the product, but it is about how the product can make the buyer's life better. Suppose you own a Lexus dealership and you want to increase your sales with advertising. Would you advertise to the public in general? Of course you wouldn't. First you would study the demographics of the area to find out the economic status of the people that live near the business. Then, depending on the results, you might want to expand your advertising to attract those that would be interested in and able to buy a Lexus. Then you might direct your advertising to what interest those prople, whether it be golf, tennis, swimming, etc. Taking this approach would definitely increase your traffic and conversion rates. Tip No. 2 - The Headline The headline is the first opportunity you have to make buyer's want to read your copy. If it doesn't capture their interest then they will not go on to the rest of the body. You must capture their attention at this point or you will be lost. Therefore, the few words that make up the headline are of the utmost importance. You are promoting an ebook on your affiliate website for a monster game, and use the following headline: "Shawn Spent Ten Hours Playing This Game". This is a bad headline because it is all about Shawn and is not about the customer or his/her desires. Let's try another one: "Shocking Secrets Are Revealed About This Monster Game Before You Buy It". This is better because it provides information the buyer needs to know before buying the game. Tip No. 3 - Keep Your Paragraphs Short Internet surfers are notorious for having short attention spans, so you must make yours points quickly and in a few words. The first sentence of the opening paragraph is just as important as the headline. You have very few words to convice your reader to continue reading. Here are some great first lines you can use: * How much time and money are you spending right now on [the problem this product will solve]? * If ______hasn't happened to you yet...it will. * Now you can finally get your hands on the closely guarded secrets the experts don't want you to know. Note these three sentences are about the reader, not the product, and are short. These three tips are most important for good copywriting and each one will save you time and money, and increase your conversions. In the end this will mean more profits. It is crucial to put these into practice immediately, because if you don't you'll have wasted a lot of time and money, and end up like many of those advertising who do not make a profit.
