In addition to this, vegetables and fruits contain only a part of the total number of calories as compared to regular meals.

Myth 3: Techniques claiming that cutting down all kinds of fat is the great way of quick weight loss and getting rid of the unwanted pounds.

The most misconception about a healthy diet and weight loss is that fat is the biggest villain in the diet to watch out for. But, dietary fat has a very important role in the body's healthy functioning. It protects the body's vital organs, regulates the activity of the nervous system, and keep the body insulated.

With this dual nature of fats,medical experts and nutritionists conclude that all fats are not alike. Fats can be classified into two: healthy fats and unhealthy fats, basing on the level of cholesterol in your blood and the effect they bring on your heart.

The healthiest form of fats includes monounsaturated fats, polyunsaturated fats, omega-3 fatty acids. On the other hand, unhealthy fats include saturated fats and trans fats.
