4 Easy Crafts For Children

Crafts allow kids to stay busy on rainy days. You might already have a lot of the materials in your home. It's also an opportunity to explore creativity or create gifts for loved ones. You can get kid's craft kits at Back to Basics Toys and FAO Schwarz.

1. Paper Crafts

Paper crafts will really change depending on the age group. Younger kids can use crayons to make cards. You can also keep scraps of faux fur, stickers and flowers in a box and your kids can use these items for collages. Older children can put together small scrapbooks to give as gifts to friends or grandparents.

2. Marker Crafts

Markers can be washable. This makes it a good option for craft projects. There are even white boards in fun shapes such as dogs which give your children a chance to constantly change out the look of decorative accessories. You can also get ceramic pens to create mugs or dishes with supervision.

3. Jewelry Projects

Even younger kids can wrap ribbon or yarn around a bracelet form. Older children can string beads together. You can also add faux gems to book bags or apparel.

4. Project Kits

You can get kids’ versions of pottery wheels or sewing machines. This teaches real life skills at early ages although this will be one of the more expensive crafting investments. Plus, some of these machines will require adult supervision.
