4 Ideas For Killer Sales Copy

If you anything on the Web you'd probably like more sales... correct? Because your sales page is your salesperson it would only make sense to make sure it does the most effective job possible for you. Here are 4 Ideas to improve any sales page...

Should You Actually Give Away Your Best Information First?

Some contend you should trot out your best ideas first. But is this a valid concept? Certainly! How come?

The reason is this establishes your authority immediately and that makes you stand out from your competition. It also showers you with credibility which is something you'd pay a big money for if you could buy it.

Plant Questions in Your Reader's Brain to Pique Interest.

Our minds are designed to answer questions. Remember when I asked a question above? One reason was to make this point but there was another reason too. If I simply told you to "Put your best foot forward" you'd promptly move on because you'd have guessed what I was going to say. By putting forth the question you not only kept reading but also kept searching for an answer. And that's something any writer wants from a reader. But there's more...

Keep Your Reader's Moving

As copywriter Joe Sugarman explains, your copy should be a slippery slope for the reader. Your headline directs the reader to the sub-headline, the sub-head to the opening paragraph and so on so the reader ends up at the order button with no other logical action except to buy.

Every element is geared to help with the cause. Structure these elements so they make it easy for scanners to zip through your sales page but compelling enough to make them take notice. You also want to create curiosity and make your benefits stand out.

Be Clear on What YOU Want!

How many people visit your site and leave because they don't have a clue about what you want them to do? This alone could be a large part of your conversion problem.

How many sales pages have you seen that are more confusing than informative? So how do you avoid this?

Easy. Tell them what you want from them. If you want an order ask for the order. If you want a name ask for it. It's all right to ask for both but make sure you focus your message on THE most important outcome you are looking for.

Offer compelling arguments such as benefits to persuade them to act as you want but don't beat around the bush - ask for what you expect from your reader.

By putting your best foot forward, planting questions in visitor's heads, giving them a ride and showing what you want them to do, you can expect to see your conversions make a surprising leapand make a huge impact on your bottom line.
