4 Important Considerations When Outsourcing Your Article Writing
#1) Timeliness may not meet your expectations. Be sure the expectations regarding quantity and delivery are clearly stated. Be sure your contractors not only acknowledges your agreement to these terms, but also make sure they deliver. After all you may be one of many sitting in-line with several other clients and waiting for the finished articles to be delivered. All the while your articles haven’t even been started. Good upfront expectation setting and follow-up are critical to making this a non-issue. #2) Basic grammar and spelling. Expect basic errors to occur more often than not. Budget in time to proofread every article that comes to you from outside resources. While many article writers offer free editing and/or rewriting as a part of the agreement, you will need to notify them if there are issues discovered. Also expect and be willing to give concessions when the writing style varies from your own. #3) Short on useful and relevant information. When outsourcing you will find many writers accept assignments on topics they are totally unfamiliar with. They assume a little time spent researching the topic will suffice. As a result the articles may meet your total word count agreement, but they will be short on the high quality, relevant information your readers seek. Search out writers with a good understanding and experience writing in your niche to reduce this risk. Failing to do so will really jeopardize your article marketing results. #4) Rewritten version of someone else’s work. With software programs, private label rights articles, so many other shortcuts available and the desire to produce articles as fast as possible many article writing contractors will put as little work into creating quality articles as they can get away with. They recognize the ultimate risk is yours to bear should they provide a low quality article that’s simply a rehash of one that’s been hanging around the internet for years.
