4 Reasons To Try Kidzui

The KidZui web browser is an application built on top of Internet explorer for PC and Safari web browser for Mac systems. It debuted in March of 2008 and its goal is to shield children, ages 3-12, from objectionable material while browsing the internet. It features Zooming User technology to create a larger screen for kids. Therefore, it's able to present bigger icons to click instead of having children type in search terms or read everything on the screen. Kids are able to pick their own screen names and build their own avatars, called Zuis. Each child can add his or her friends to their list of friends only if they know the other child's screen name. No names are stored in the database for look-ups. This makes for enhanced security for each user.

Four good reasons to start using KidZui are:

• It's free
• Uses white-listing instead of black-listing
• Is monitored by parents and educators
• Caters to education

The fact that this child-friendly browser is free is perhaps compelling reason enough to start using it. Originally, KidZui was a paid-model only. After some criticism, however, its creators decided to make a free, ad-supported version available. A paid version still exists and offers a few more bells and whistles; however, both offer the same internet browsing experience.

One of the major reasons KidZui works so well at protecting children is due to the fact it employs white-listing instead of black-listing. This simply means the only sites users can visit are those specifically allowed by the KidZui database. Everything else is denied by default. The database is up to approximately 800,000 white-listed sites, and continually growing. This means there is no way a child will accidentally stumble upon a bad site.

So who checks and reviews the sites, you may be wondering? You'll be happy to know parents and educators are the ones who scour the internet for the best and highest educational-value sites for kids aged 3-12. Parents and teachers are paid to follow a strict set of guidelines when searching for new websites.

Finally, educational value, along with child safety, is the primary focus of the overall experience of KidZui. You can rest assured knowing that your child is not only being protected from online predators, objectionable websites, and more but also receiving a bit of an education in the process.

Given these four aforementioned reasons, shouldn't you give KidZui a try today?
