Yes there is a lot of opportunity but how will I attract leads for my business? I will give you some basic training on how to begin to attract leads to your business on Facebook. #1 One thing you want to avoid, as a new marketer on facebook, do not blast your business opportunity to every new contact you make. Newbies tend to blast their website and opportunity to any new friend they add to their list. This type of activity turns most people away. When I am sent a friend request with a message telling me about their awesome opportunity, I always ignore the request. I am a marketer myself and I do not like to be sold. Most people on Facebook feel the same way. Facebook was designed to be a social site to exchange ideas, information and to develop relationships and trust. After you develop trust with your contacts then your opportunity to present your business will happen. The conversation will always lead to "What is it that you do?" That is the time to present your opportunity. I'm willing to bet that your up line would be appalled if you told them they shouldn't blast the business to every contact on the net. I know you were trained to talk to everyone about your product and opportunity at every handshake. That method may work for you in the off line world but on social sites it will not work. #2 Add some value to the social scene. Posting informative material or your favorite quotes will work much better than blasting your business proposition 20 times a day. Write about something that will help others to build their business on line. You will then to look like a leader and not look like a spammer. I'm talking from experience. It didn't take me long to learn I wasn't getting any results by posting my business opportunity 20 times a day. I then learned what Attraction Marketing was all about. I learned I had to add value to the community then people would be Attracted to what I had to say. When the trust was established then I could talk about my opportunity. I know this goes against traditional marketing but traditional marketing doesn't work in the on line arena. #3 Target your prospects. To build your business using social sites you should go after other mlm people. Want to know why you should pursue other people involved in mlm? In the first year 97% will quit the mlm business. That is where your value comes in. If you can share with someone how to get a few leads you have given them more than their sponsor ever has. When you help someone acquire some leads for their business they will see you as someone to follow. Show someone how to get leads and you will become a leader in their eyes. The more value you are willing to share the more people will view you as a leader and will want to follow you in whatever you do. Mostly have them join your business! #4 Many groups are put together in Facebook. Look for groups that are put together for different mlm companies. Groups are easy to find on Facebook. Just put the name of a mlm company in the search bar. When you get to the group you want, click the "See all members" link. A window will open and you will see all the members in that group. Click the "Add as a friend" link and another window will open. In the new window you will see a "Send a personal message" link. Click the link and a message box will open. Write a little note and then send the message. You will see more people will respond if you send a note with the request. Check out their profile before you send the message. Find something in the profile to complement them on. You don't have to send an essay. Just something short like, "I see your involved with company xyz. What a great company. Want to connect, and share ideas on how to build our business?" Never use the friend request as a business promotion. Don't even mention your opportunity.
