4 Tips To Increase Your Ctr’s With Your Article Marketing Plan
I am fairly new to Article Marketing but right from the start I knew it was important to integrate in my Marketing Plan Outline. This form of marketing has substantially increased my CLR’s and because I received so many great ideas from other articles like this, I would like to give back and help others who are trying to increase their CTR’s using Article Marketing.
Since CTR’s are my main objective when I write an article, I have conducted very detailed analysis of my good and bad performing articles. Here are the 4 tips that I have come up with:
1. The Myth about the Resource Box. The resource box is very important, most authors think THE most important part of the article. This is where you post the link to your website, where your Click-thru’s happen. But the reader will never get to the resource box if the article isn’t compelling and most of all relevant. Sometimes people will only read 1 or 2 sentences of your article if they do not see any value in reading the whole piece. You only have 1 time to make a first impression! So the resource box is just 1 piece of the total package of your article marketing plan.
2. Stay focused on your goal, grab them from the start with compelling content and get to the point quickly, nobody wants to read a book. Do not just fill articles with unnecessary words just to increase the size of the article. Always stay within 300-500 words. It is too hard to keep someone reading if your article is to long.
3. Keep your most informative content at the end of the article. If you give away all your tips or the most important content in the first few sentences, the reader will stop right there and never get to the end of the article and “Click Thru” You need to encourage them to want to hear more of what you have to say by clicking thru on your resource box. And always just give the fundamentals of your tip or secret. This makes them want to continue on to your website.
4. This is probably the number one tip to increasing your CTR’s. Customize your resource boxes to blend with the subject you are writing about. DO NOT use a generic resource box for every article. It needs to blend with your subject matter and almost looks as if it part of the article. If not it will look like nothing more than blatant advertising and you will have a person that reads your entire article and then abandons the page before they click-thru.
I realize that CTR’s vary depending on the subject matter but you really should try to reach a level of at least 30% CTR. If you are not achieving this then go back and look over your articles using the 4 tips above. 30% should not be hard to obtain if you are writing relevant articles. Soon you will realize how important Article Marketing is to your overall Website Marketing Strategy!
Good Luck!
