5 Affiliate Marketing Rules

There are a few rules that me and other successful affiliate marketers follow relentlessly. Everybody involved in affiliate marketing can make a lot of money but only half of affiliates actually make a living out of this. Some affiliates have made so much money that they have quit their jobs. Every affiliate marketer in the world would love to be in this position and with these 5 steps I will push you in the right direction.

1.Cloaking The Affiliate Link
When you have a default affiliate link it comes out as horribly long URL. People will not click on your link because it looks like a random spam site. What you should try doing is redirecting the link or completely cloaking it with nicer looking URL.

2. Article Marketing
Article Marketing is a very underrated method. Many people think that article marketing is outdated and nobody uses it. The people who say that couldn't be more wrong. All the big affiliates use article marketing because it is still very effective way to drive so much traffic to your site. With Article Marketing you will gain status as someone who is a master in their niche. More people will trust and will hopefully become lifetime customers. Lifetime customers are great because they are the customers what really help pay the bills.

3. Niche Marketing
A lot of people just go for a broad market and don't focus on niche marketing. My advice as a seasoned affiliate is to find a niche market ASAP. Niche marketing is what all of the big league affiliates are doing. With niche marketing you will make money much faster.

4. Pre-sell Page
When you send the customer to a pre-sell page, the customer will go to a page where all the reviews are. By showing the customers some of the very positive reviews, the customer will have more trust in you and the product.

5. Bringing Visitors Back
Many affiliates try to bring new traffic to their site. There is nothing wrong with that because traffic is great. But you are more likely to get a sale from a person who has been on your site before,than someone who has just visited your site once. To try and bring back customers use an autoresponder.
