5 Common Ages And Basis Issues Of Your Inner Little Girl
Well... Meet your Inner Child Like everyone else, as you grew up, you had developmental tasks. As you completed each task and if they all went smoothly, you moved on to the next. If however, something happened during one of those stages to disrupt the smooth transition from one task to another, you will stay stuck at that developmental stage in that area until you resolve it. Here are 5 Common Ages and Basis Issues of Your Inner Little Girl. See if you recognize any of these as areas of challenge in your adult life. 1. Baby: Need to feel safe, trust the world and bond deeply with others. If all went smoothly for you as a baby, you will trust the universe to meet your needs and you will have an inner ‘knowing’ that the world is a safe place for you. You will easily weave in and out of relationships. If something happens to disrupt the process you will undoubtedly struggle with relationships, trust and personal safety issues as a adult. 2. Toddler: Sharing, saying no, seeing yourself as autonomous If all went well for you as a toddler, you will know that it is ok to share when you want, and to say no when appropriate. You will appreciate your autonomy and be able to express your unique perspective. If something happens to disrupt the process, you will undoubtedly struggle with setting healthy personal boundaries. To share or not to share may cause angst for you. 3. Adolescent: Feeling included, having friends, sharing and holding secrets. Dreaming and Creative Visualization If all went well for you as a young adolescent, you will have easy relationships with other girls and have a healthy attitude toward boys. You will share your heart and be the keeper for the heart stories of others. If something happened to disrupt the process, you may struggle with fitting in with peer groups. You may not be in touch with your hearts desires. 4. Young Teen. Sexuality, intimate relationships, drama, decision making If all went smoothly for you as a teenager. You will move through the drama of life with grace, knowing there are ups and downs and you will always be ok. You will take your place as a woman, value your sexuality, have set your expectations of treatment. If something happened to disrupt the process, you may struggle with drama in your life. Situations may take on unrealistic importance. Turmoil may be a constant companion. You may have difficulty making decisions. 5. Young Woman: Decision Making, Sexuality, Taking Place in Adult World, Independence If all went well for you as you transitioned from teenager you easily took your place as a young woman. You were well on your way to creating the adult lifestyle that suited you. If you were unprepared for this stage, you may have struggled with the transition from child to adult: leaving home, being independent, looking after yourself, making powerful choices about lifestyles. This simple list may give you insight to the stages of development to look at if you are struggling in your life. It is by no means comprehensive or complete. There are many wonderful resources available to learn about your inner child. Namaste.
