5 Great Tips For Keeping Your Mobile Data Safe

There are number of mobile computing devices (MCD) which are used by people to store their personal and confidential data on. The MCD's include laptops, USB drives, cameras, smartphones etc. When it comes to portable devices everyone is looking for a miniature device but as people go for miniature devices they have more risks attached to it. Devices like the iphone for instance contain login information to sensitive data like facebook, online banking etc and because they are so small, they stand a good chance of being lost. There are certain risks which are attached to these portable devices such that these devices can be easy to steal or lose and the person who stole it can easily copy your data or misuse it. Apart from stealing, and as smartphones become more sophisticated the likelihood of malware ins more prevalent. A lot of mobile users don't consider these risks. And since these devices are becoming so common and part of every day life, the risk becomes bigger. therefore the people who are linked with IT industry are now looking to minimize these risks by bringing in different solutions. Now in order to curtail these risks, there are some solutions which we need to look at to protect the data.

1) Use passwords and codes to protect the data and if you lose your device or someone steals it, your data will remain save and protected and no one can use it. Now external devices are available which have a in-built security software on which you can use code and pins to protect the data.

2) Try to save your in multiple places so that if you lose your data from one place you have a back up of the data and you can access your data from that place. Try to store it on the external devices which is available in the market and back up your data regularly. So that unfortunately if you lose the data from one device you can have it on other device.

3) Install antivirus software's in your device so that your device and data can be protected from different malware.

4) Encryption is another solution through which you can protect your data. Basically when you encrypt your data, the data is transformed into different key phrases and it becomes unreadable. In order to make it readable there are software available which can shape the data into readable form, this process is known as decryption which is a reverse process of encryption. I will suggest people not to save your data on laptops rather save your data on hard drives and encrypt the entire hard drive. Because sometimes you forget laptop on your office table and anyone can use it and can damaged your data.

5) There is another solution to keep the data safe which is demonstrated by a university of Manchester known as FACIAL RECOGNITION SECURITY. This idea can first examine the face of the person and use it as a identification footprint, a bit like how fingerprints are used. Basically the idea behind is that first time when you starting using this software it will make a video of your face and also record your voice in order to use as a secure ID.

I hope that this article has highlighted some security solutions and by using these solutions you can protect your data.
