5 Great Late-summer Rv Trips

Even though fall is getting closer and closer, there is still a lot of time left for some great summer RV trips. And in fact, now is the time to start planning for fall trips, as well. We will take a look at some good getaways for you and your family, or if you are retired, suggest some nice places to visit.

Going to the Western states and visiting the Rocky Mountains is always a great summer trip. Whether going north to North Dakota or as far south as New Mexico, there are plenty of destinations that offer fresh mountain air, even on hot days. You can set up camp on the side of a small dirt rode in the Colorado mountains or take out the dirt bikes for a romp through some of the trails west of Butte, Montana. No matter what, there is always something to do in the Rockies during the summer.

Traveling to the South during the heat of summer and even of fall might seem crazy, but if you are tired of living a fast-paced life, a trip to old Dixie might just be the way to go. In going to the South, you can expect friendly people, amazing food, and a laid-back way of life that can be refreshing if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. And do not worry about accommodations for your RV; there are plenty of places to park and enjoy the scenery.

Taking your RV to New York, whether in be a travel trailer or a mobile home or anything else, probably seems like many to be a lost cause. After all, "The City", as many New Yorkers call it, does not really have too much room for campgrounds. But there is an entire state to explore, much of it to the north. Upper New York State has beautiful scenery in the summer and specifically in the fall, when the leaves are changing their color.

Texans enjoy their recreation vehicles and, as many Texans will tell you, theirs is the best state to use them in. This is for good reason. The landscape of Texas is more diverse than many people might imagine. While there are no mountains, Texas has dessert, brush, rolling hills, and East Texas is really part of the South. So put on your biggest hat, get on the road, and head to the Lone Star State for an RV adventure.

For a more extensive adventure, you can consider going to Canada or Mexico. Sure, it might be a long drive, but if you already have a passport, why not take the chance to do something unique that you will remember for years. Both counties have such a wealth of diversity, especially Canada, which has everything from cosmopolitan cities to rain forests to rugged, mountain wilderness.

No matter where you go with your RV (or RV) during the late summer and early fall season, just make sure to plan ahead, buckle-up, and have fun!

Summary: Even during the late days of summer, there is still plenty of good weather, including fall, with which to travel in an RV. Here are some good ideas for where to go.
