Secondly, turn your reason into a quantifiable goal. If you want to learn Spanish so that you can get by on holiday in Spain when you go in one month, think carefully about what language you will need exactly, and don't spend time on anything else - focus on the practical language that will be useful to you (restaurant language, emergency language, etc). Tell a friend who speaks good Spanish that in one month you will spend a whole day speaking only Spanish with them, no matter what. Make sure that they hold you to it.

Number four, make sure that you choose the best way for you to learn Spanish. Classroom-based lessons are often actually not the best places to learn Spanish. in a classroom the pace of learning inevitably slows down to the speed of the slowest students, and the attention of the teacher is split between ten or twenty students.
Of course, the best way to learn Spanish is to go and stay for a while in a Spanish-speaking country. The step is to simply find yourself a native Spanish-speaker who will talk to you in their normal Spanish accent at a fast speed, and meet with you regularly for conversation. Do this and you will improve ten times faster than most students.
The vast majority of students learning Spanish never take this step. People go to hundreds of Spanish classes but never once expose them selves to real, native-spoken Spanish, and then have real trouble understanding anyone when they need to use the language. So don't you be one of them!
