3. Control your intake of carbohydrates. Excessive carbohydrates turn into sugars in the body and diabetics need control their blood sugar levels.

Diabetics need to learn how to control their carbohydrate intake. A doctor or health professional can help you to decide how much to eat and help plan meals. .

4. Limit the amount of food you eat at a time. Portion control is very important to controlling diabetes. This does not mean that as a diabetic you have to limit your diet to foods that have no taste.
