5 Tricks To Getting Pregnant
1. Sexual intercourse during the day rather than at night results in a greater chance of the female conceiving. Sperm count is highest in the morning is the only logical reason for this. However, sneaking off during the day to have sex may create a different sexual environment increasing excitement levels. I expect that there is no reason not to try this strategy. 2. Relaxing will fix the problem is another old wives tale that it cannot hurt you if you try it. We know that stress in modern society does much to upset many aspects of our lives. How many times have you heard of an infertile couple adopting a baby only to discover that shortly after the adoption is completed the wife falls pregnant. Clearly the couple were not permanently infertile, but something changed to enable the conception to take place. A reduction in stress levels seems the obvious conclusion, but the real reason might be something else. All this said, I can't see why attempting to relax more should not be attempted. 3. An urban myth that is starting to be backed by scientific research is the use of cough syrup to enhance fertility. Cough syrups (or expectorants) have been designed to thin the mucus in the lungs. It appears that they also thin cervical mucus, making the track to the egg easier for the sperm. Same process, just a different part of the body. If you are thinking of using this strategy I suggest that you do a little research to find expectorants with mucus thinning qualities but no other additives. 4. Women should do headstands after intercourse. I think this is just a further take on making efforts to prevent sperm leakage. Once again, if you are sufficiently athletic to do headstands, it would appear that they would not hurt you. 5. Increase your sexual activity. Once again it is unlikely to hurt you, but obviously timing is critical. If conception is the sole objective there is little point having sex if the egg isn't ready. On the other hand, increased frequency of sexual intercourse may improve your relationship and reduce the stress of both partners. These old wives tales and urban myths may not help you to fall pregnant. They are, however, unlikely to harm you. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to give them a go.
