1. Keep it simple: this might sound odd, but in actual fact, it is a rule of thumb. Write your articles in clear concise words that appeal to a majority of individuals. No one wants to start second guessing what you mean by a statement or paragraph in your article. Keep it really simple, so even a stupid person understands what you a talking about.
2. Input a strong call to action: your article should have a strong call to action embedded in it, usually at the tail end. Don’t mince words; be direct and precise in what you want the reader/potential customer to do next. For example, “click here for more information,” tells the reader exactly where to go for more information.
3. Avoid sales pitches: most articles usually contain one sales pitch or the other. Such articles do not appeal to the reader. Avoid sales pitches, the actual sales letter usually takes care of that, when the customer is ready to buy. Your article is meant to pre-sell the product, by educating the reader on the many benefits of a niche product. Do not put off a potential customer before he gets to the sales page of such a product.
4. Be informative: your article should be informative and give the potential customer value for his time. Informative and helpful articles usually excel in any niche. If your article contains helpful information about your product, the customer usually justifies this by clicking on your website link.
5. Your article should be incomplete: I know this sounds a little incomplete, but a unique article should have the power to leave the reader/potential customer wanting more. That pushes them to follow your link even without being asked. Does that look incomplete to you now?
6. The heading is the key: make sure your article heading is long enough, precise and captivating all at the same time. Your article heading being long enough means that it should not be too short or too long. Discoveries have shown that article headings that are too short do not draw-in the potential customer and article headings that are too long, usually put off the potential customer. The article heading is the key that unlocks the door to your article and eventually your product. Make sure it measures up to standards.
