6 Steps Of An Easy Article Marketing Strategy

Marketing online? Are you on a budget? Then the article marketing strategy could be for you. It's a hot strategy right now that is getting those using it a ton of free traffic. Unfortunately, you can't just write an article or blog post and let it sit there in the hopes that someone will find it someday, read it, and buy your product. You may wonder why I'd share this strategy with you. Well, I believe in sharing value, and I'm confident that the internet is big enough that there's room for anyone who wants to put in the work.

Below I will share with you a simple article marketing strategy that uses company reviews to bring you free traffic.

1. Choose a Business - This may sound daunting if you're not familiar with other companies, beside your own, but there is a very simple way to do this. Go to Npros.com. Npros has an intensive list of companies in the home-based business industry. Head on over and pick a company...I'll wait.

2. Choose a Keyword - Before you really get going, make sure to choose a good keyword. The Google Keyword Tool is free and easy to use if you need help. The tool is easy to use. Simply type in the keyword or phrase you are considering and Google will show you the monthly searches for that term and related phrases. Over a thousand searches per month is a good word to use. The tool also gives you an idea of the size of your competition. So the best choice is a keyword that has a high-frequency search rate but a low competition. Don't worry, it can be done!

3. Research Your Company - So, you now have your company and keyword. The next thing you need to do is Google them and do a bit of research. Take a few notes for your article. This process can take as little as 10 minutes.

4. Write Your Article - Write your own original article and make sure you are providing value to your reader. Keep the article relatively short (250-450 words) because people have short attention spans and don't like reading books when all they want are quick answers. Your keyword should go in the article's title and in each paragraph or every 100 words or so. Try not to use it too much as Google penalizes it.

5. Be Sure to Use the Resource Box - The great thing about posting articles on article sharing websites is the fact that they "reward" the authors with resource boxes. Write a little about yourself or make your reader an offer. Depending on the site, you are able to provide 2-3 links. Be creative and entice your reader to click on your links. One method I like to use is making the resource box a continuation of the article and providing my link as a way to get more information or further training on the subject. Use this opportunity to brand yourself as a leader.

6. Time to Submit Your Article -You can submit your article to multiple content-sharing websites. You'll find a few site names below but there are actually hundreds out there. EzineArticles is a high quality site that I recommend using first because their articles are often found on the front page of Google.

* EzineArticles
* GoArticles
* Articles Dashboard
* Idea Marketers
* Article Alley

Have fun with your article marketing strategy. You'll soon start getting tons of free traffic!
