6 Ways To Improve Chances Of Getting Pregnant – Now
• Am I doing everything I can? • How can I improve my chances of getting pregnant? • Will I ever have a baby? Well sometimes, just the simplest action on your part will lead to the biggest change. With me it was caffeine. I drank 2-3 pots of coffee a day. Two months after quitting the coffee I was pregnant. And this was after three years of trying! So how can you improve your chances of getting pregnant? Below are 6 simple things to try. 1) Position Matters Having intercourse on your back greatly improves chances of getting pregnant. This position gives the sperm the easiest path from the cervix to the uterus. And if you can wait at least 20 minutes before getting off your back – that’s how long it takes for the sperm to makes its journey – you’ll greatly improve your chances of getting pregnant. 2) Vitamins Be sure you’re taking a prenatal vitamin – as soon as you begin trying to get pregnant, if not before. It is especially important to have an optimal supply of folic acid and vitamin B inside your tissues. Both play a major role in reducing birth defects and miscarriages. 3) Don’t Smoke, Drink, Do Drugs or Consume Caffeine. I guess I could have broken this bullet point into four segments and called this article 9 Ways to Improve Chances of Getting Pregnant – NOW. But I chose not to since all four of these substances have been shown to have the same destructive nature when trying to get pregnant. They each increase the risk of birth defects and the risk of miscarriage. When you start taking your prenatal vitamins, you need to stop these “risky” behaviors to improve chances of getting pregnant. And the same goes for your partner as well. These substances have all been shown to have a negative impact on sperm quality. And the quality of his sperm is just as important as the viability of your egg in conceiving a healthy baby. 4) Don’t Douche After Sex You may feel “cleaner” if you douche after sex – but when trying to get pregnant it’s a real No-No. Douching will kill any sperm left behind in the cervix – reducing the number of “swimmers” available to get the job done. 5) Don’t Have Oral Sex Before Intercourse If this is part of your intercourse routine, you need to change your routine. Stop having oral sex prior to intercourse while trying to get pregnant. It is believed that the germs in your partner’s mouth can damage the sperm. 6) Enjoy the Ride And last - but not least – make sure both you and your partner are really, really enjoying the sex you have. Studies have shown that when sex begins to feel like a chore that’s necessary to do just to “get the job done” the likelihood of conception falls dramatically. This is because this particular feeling in your partner’s head leads to lower sperm count and motility. Again, managing the mind/body connection can have dramatic results. Conclusion I hope one of these tips will help you get pregnant. There are many, many reasons for not getting pregnant. And there are just as many things to try to help you conceive.
