7 Easy Ways To Further Improve Your Articles

A lot of people don’t like the notion of writing. Some believe that it’s too much effort that goes to waste when their works are never read. Also, there are folks who don’t enjoy reading either. They are of the opinion that reading is uninteresting and exhausting. Regardless of what people think, if you desire to write, then write by all means. The world is a big place; someone somewhere WILL read what you’ve labored to write. We all have something to write that is of value to someone else.

So how do you entice people to read what you’ve written? Aside from how remarkable it is, it has to be well-written. Making a good article doesn't have to be arduous. You just need to be aware of some points that would be prudent to follow. Once you get the hang of it, writing could be fun, as well as advantageous for you and your site.

To start off, write about something you know, or have familiarity first hand. It may also be about something you’ve studied about extensively. You may write about your opinions on a certain subject-matter, or your own experiences. In any case, your article will flow smoother when you write about something you know something about to a certain level.

Here are some guidelines to make your articles better formatted and easier to read:

1) Paragraph length.
Would you agree that when presented with a very long paragraph, you tend to subconsciously drift away from whatever it is you’re reading? The rule is, if you can get to the point as soon as you can while being as plain and concise as you can, then do so. Try not to get carried away with how good you can articulate yourself, unless you’re writing a book or a how-to article.

2) Use bullets.
When you need to point out or stress some things, use bullets and numbers. Your readers will then effortlessly identify each point versus keeping it in a sentence or paragraph form. Make sure to indent your bullets to make them more pronounced and noticeable.

3) Use Sub-headings per point.
If you want to make several points, use sub-headings to break each point into sections that will make it easy for your readers to jump from one point to the other. This will also help your readers realize the direction where your article is heading.

4) Give your title a lot of thought.
We always begin from the top when reading. At the top is the title. If the title is thought-provoking enough, your readers will want to read on. Make use of statements and questions that use keywords that people are looking for. Make use of titles or headers that tell people what your article is about. You may use a how-to title such as “How to do PTC to make money from home” or a bold statement such as “Make money from home by doing pay-to-click!” Try to use titles that trigger the emotions or address a need or want, to connect with your readers.

5) Keep it stimulating.
Attempt to use your personal experiences and narrate about real-life situations that your readers can connect to. Make proper use of figures of speech like metaphors to take your point across. Infuse your article with wit if you can, and try to keep it light to make the reading experience pleasurable without losing the focus of the article.

6) State facts and statistics when applicable.
Using facts and figures can improve your article because it makes it trustworthy. Make sure to state where you got the information and give credit where it’s due. This will further bolster your integrity and give your article that measure of authority that readers will respect.

7) Give them what they want.
True, I mentioned at the start that someone, somewhere will read your articles, as long as you write them. That still remains to be true. But, if you want your writing to reach a wider audience, write about a popular topic. Research by going to forums, observe what's going on in social networks, etc. Find something that connects to you in some way, then put a spin on it by applying your style.

So what are you waiting for? Get started writing!
