7 Helpful Items And Ideas In Building A Squeeze Page
1 - No Spam - once you have been given the e-mail address, you must guarantee that you will be true to your word and that you will not trade their details with anyone else. You can’t build your internet marketing business and build an efficient and effective relationship with the user unless you do this. Remember that spams and scams are regularly used and people are particularly wary of squeeze pages. Therefore, you must make this promise and make sure that your web visitors will not suspect you as being involved in anything underhand. 2 – One call to action – do not clutter up your squeeze page with links to other pages and offers. If you have more than one objective you will fail. Collecting names and email addresses of subscribers should be your primary goal with a squeeze page. 3 – Use a good autoresponder - you must decide, when building a squeeze page, whether you will be using a professional autoresponder or not. This may seem to be a strange point to make, but you will often find that free services don’t offer the whole range of features that you get when you pay for a good service. It’s worth paying to get it right. A reliable service is a great advantage as it will allow you to run your list building process in complete autopilot allowing you to spend time on promoting your business. Of course, you can also send special ’broadcast’ messages to your subscribers to alert them to a specific offer at any time. Instead of spending time sending your messages and ads one by one, let your system do it for you as you will be working on some other more relevant and urgent tasks toward your marketing goals. 4 – List the benefits – I see too many squeeze pages where you are shown a list of bullet points showing product features instead of benefits. This really is a very common mistake and is something that confuses many newcomers to internet marketing. The way to understand this point is to remember that features are what a product has but benefits are what a product will do for you. 5 – Deliver - make sure that the promise and offers you make on your page are followed up completely. Fulfill them as soon as the subscriber provides their name and email address. If you don’t send them what you promised you will have lost all credibility at the first gate. Always keep in mind how your visitors found your web page in the first place. It’s probably because they were looking for something to solve a problem. 6 – Test and test - always look for alternatives for your squeeze page that will help you increase opt-ins. You should perform split testing to see what minor changes can make to your conversion rates. Keep doing these until you optimize the outcome. 7 – Branding – depending on your chosen niche you may want to establish yourself, or your business, as a brand. Try to develop a look and feel to your squeeze page that you can adopt in other ways throughout your business. What I mean is; come up with a design or a logo that can be used on all your pages, include your photograph to promote yourself and show that you are human. Remember, even though we are working on the internet we are always selling to people, not robots, show inject a little personality into your work. Invite comments and responses on your blog posts to help other people see that you have honesty and integrity. Clearly, if you don’t have these personal traits then the comments won’t always be positive. You’ll be surprised how word of mouth works once your ‘branding’ begins to take effect.
