Whenever you want to make a post on your blog, keep these 7 must follow rules in mind and you’ll be publishing great blog content that attracts prospects and clients in your niche market. Nurturing your blog takes time and when you get lots of comments on your blog, it will give you lots of satisfaction.
Rules #1 – Survey What Your Readers Like
The best part of having a blog is that you can have lot interactions with your readers. It is useless in making tons of posting when your readers are not interested. Simply create a survey on your blog and ask what your readers hope to read!
Rules #2 – Use Appropriate Headline
Majority of the readers on the Internet are too busy to read each and every post. Most of us will just glance through the heading or title of the post. Use powerful and mind provoking words to attract readers’ attention. If possible short as well.
Rules #3 – Keep It Short And Simple (KISS)
Please don’t beat around the bush and waste the time of your readers. Use short and simple sentences to convey your message. Your readers probably won’t have so much patience to read a 2 to 3 pages long post unless it is something personal and interesting. If you need to make such a long post, split your article into 2 to 3 postings will be more appropriate.
Rules #4 – Optimize your post
Ultimately you need web traffic to see what a great post you have for the public. However if you do not optimize your post, chances of the search engines listing your post in the organic search result is low. The basics are to place your keyword in your title, description and keyword tag.
Rules #5 – Post Frequently
There are too many websites and blogs on the Internet. Search engines only follow active accounts and the only way to proof that your account is active is by making a post frequently.
Rules #6 – Make it valuable
Respect the time of your readers. Please do not make a post just for the sake of posting. Very often they might be following you on twitter or some bookmarking website. Readers always find post laid out in point form much easier to digest. Write in point form whenever you can.
Rules #7 – Proof-read
The last thing you want to do is to torture your readers with poor command of English that is full of spelling and grammar errors. Proof read your article on your Word processor and you should have a decent readable article.
