7 New Email List Building Strategies For Solopreneurs On A Budget

If you are a very busy solopreneur who is interested in building successful long-term and profitable business online then you need quick and easy list building strategies, in order for you to grow your online community. If you are also on a budget, then you need to build a list that will allow you to have strong relationships with your potential clientss, as well as building your personal brand on the Internet.

1. Writing and submiting articles are the fastest ways to start driving massive traffic and potential prospects to your list. Write about ten 500-word articles on topics in your niche, and submit them to directories such as Ezine Articles. Articles are reviewed and posted almost immediately and are indexed by the search engines very quickly, which means that your articles will start sending you instant traffic immediately.

2. Make sure to put some time into it, before you use the Resource Box. Remember, a good resource box convinces your reader to click through your site. This is also known as back linking.

3. Another good way to get people to sign up for your list is to give away something for free. Free access to your newsletter is not enough though, so make sure to offer a free ebook or ecourse in exchange for your potential customer’s email address. Do note that ecourses can be more effective in the long run, because each message that goes out is another chance for you to build your list and get more traffic to your website.

4. You can also search for forums in your niche and set up accounts right away. Make sure to pay special attention to forums that allow you to use a signature file after each post. Use something similar to your resource box – this will help drive traffic to your website and list. Keeping your posts as informative and valuable as you can and start posting on a daily. Very importantly, DON’T spam your new forum friends. By posting helpful information, you will help enhance your status as an expert in your field, encourage people to join your email list and at the same time your friends will learn to trust you.

5. Once you’ve attracted potential clients to your list, don’t damage the relationship by sending tons of messages a day. Then again, once every few months is going to the other extreme – your list won’t even remember you, let alone care what you have to say. Internet marketing experts recommend sending your list two to three times a week – this will keep people interested without feeling overwhelmed.

6. Although spelling and grammar are vitally important, it is also important to convey your emails using a friendly conversational tone, rather than be too formal – this will make your list feel at ease, and more likely to buy from you.

7. Although having potential clients join your list is just like having new friends who are interested in what you have to say, remember that the fastest way to break the trust is with spam messages. The products you promote to your list should be chosen carefully, and you should also try to balance each promotional message with useful information for your target niche.
