7 Steps To Selling An E-book

Do you have information that other people will want? Do you have a flair for writing? Why not put those two things to use and make an e-Book? An e-Book can generate a lot of money for you if you know how to set things up and where to go to do it. Here’s how:

1. Do some research: Is there a need for your information? Do you have a new way or easier way of presenting it? What can you offer that others don’t?

2. Put your knowledge and writing skills to the test. Once you’ve compiled your information you’ll want to be able to offer it as a Microsoft Word document (.doc) and as a PDF.

3. Have someone proof-read what you’ve got. As uncomfortable as it may be, you need to have an outsider read what you’ve done to determine if the lay person can interpret what you’ve written.

When you have that much done, now it is time to start setting things up on the world-wide-web.

4. You can set up your own website and sell ad spaces. This can augment your earnings and save advertising costs from this endeavor if you can sell ad spaces to marketers who are selling products that compliment your book topic. Depending on the size and positioning of the ad, you can charge up to $500 per ad. You can also use some of your book space to promote your other products and services.

Be sure this has a professional look about it and not the yellow pages.

5. Get your product sold! If you don’t know a thing about marketing, get some help. Your e-book will generate even more income for you.

Be sure to highlight the benefits of your book. What does it have that others don’t? You need to show the value and build up the offerings, this will generate interest.

6. Use the value and offerings as a traffic-generating tool. Its important to drive quality traffic to your website.

Use your e-books to attract interested people by sending parts of it to potential clients. What! - You say. Yes! Give them some valuable information that these people will find interesting. If you impress the readers and show them that you are good at what you do, you can be assured that they will flock to your website in no time. Don’t forget to post your site's URL on every page of your creations to make it easier for these people to give you a visit.

7. Capture those email addresses of your potential clients and put them to use. Use them on a building campaign – referrals get you everywhere.

Better yet - you can boost your sign-up rate if you can reward these people with free e-books that are relevant to their needs and demands.
