In my case, I always thought I was too skinny and my nose was too big for my face — and that was before I even got to the acne. Nobody knows for sure what causes acne. Zinc helps because it is very important in healing skin tissues. It also helps to prevent scarring from zits and pimples. 6) Selenium is a nutrient that has been in the news lately because of the clear connection that has been established between it and cancer prevention. Research into Selenium has established that when given with Vitamins A and E, Selenium can, over a 12 week period, reduce the severity of Acne out-breaks and help to reduce the resulting scarring, as well. 7) Chromium is required by the human body to maintain blood sugar levels. The more sugar that is consumed, the more chromium you’ll need to maintain the correct level.
