Your hair enhances your overall personality and also reflects your health. But, healthy hair and scalp needs proper care right from the beginning. If you neglect your hair for long, You may even experience untimely hair loss. Hair fall can be a side effect of some types of dandruff, while other types of dandruff may cause itching or inflammation that causes hair loss. When hair starts falling out it can seem like the end of the world. Follow these tips to try and reduce it as much as possible.

1. Your hair cleansing routine largely depends on your hair-type. People having oily hair may need to wash their hair regularly, while people having dry hair can wash it twice a week. Never use too hot or too cold water to wash your hair. While cleaning or massaging your hair, you should always use your fingertips and not your nails to gently clean your scalp.

2. Try and reduce stress or anxiety that is getting to you. Tension and anxiety do not help as you will be so worried your body won't be mentally healthy so this will lead to physical deterioration too which includes hair loss.

3. Avoid drinking too much alcohol and avoid using it on your hair. Hair care products that contain alcohol can make hair dry, brittle and prone to breakage.

4. If you've noticed more hair in the drain, you may be tempted to wash your hair less often. However, infrequent hair washing can cause a build up of dead skin cells and oils, leading to dandruff and itching. Washing your hair regularly won't cause more hair fall; just gently wash your hair. Allow the hair to partially air dry before brushing it out with a wide toothed comb and never use a brush on wet hair. This is one of the best hair loss treatment.

5. A nutritious diet, which contains all essential vitamins and minerals, helps in minimizing the hair loss. Therefore, you must include green, leafy vegetables, raw oats, and whole grain cereals, eggs, dates, and raisins in your daily food regime. As the hair is made of protein, you are advised to stick to protein-rich diet, such as calves liver, brewer's yeast, and wheat germ. These foods also contain Vitamin B, which is an important nutrient for hair. Outer coverings of potatoes, cucumbers, and green and red peppers are high in silica, which is essential to maintain the beauty and strength of your hair. Vitamin E also promotes hair growth and reduces hair fall.

6. Oiling the hair also helps with coconut oil for example. By doing this, when you go out the pollution in the environment won't stick straight onto your hair and damage it. It will stick to the oil instead which can be washed off when you get home.

7. Crash diets aren't good for your health or your hair. Rapid weight loss plans, especially low-protein diets, can cause hair loss.
